Meet Our Superintendent

Mrs. Amanda Redrow, M.Ed.

As I enter my third school year as Superintendent of the Port Republic School District, I remain incredibly proud to serve our students, families, staff, and community. It is a privilege to lead a district where relationships matter, traditions are valued, and every student is known and supported.

My educational philosophy continues to center on one guiding principle: students first. Every decision we make should support the academic, social, and emotional growth of our students. Our responsibility extends beyond preparing students for their next test or grade level. We must provide them with the knowledge, confidence, resilience, and skills they need to successfully take the next steps in their educational journey and beyond.

My career in education began as a paraprofessional, an experience that gave me invaluable insight into the individual needs of students and the importance of strong relationships within the classroom. I later served as both a special education teacher and an English teacher before moving into educational leadership. Prior to becoming Superintendent, I spent six and a half years as a Supervisor of Humanities, leading curriculum development, instructional initiatives, professional learning, and teacher support.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in English from Rutgers University–Camden and completed the Post Baccalaureate Program at Rowan University to earn my Teacher of Students with Disabilities certification. I earned my Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Concordia University and completed the School Leadership Program at Wilmington University. My New Jersey certifications include K–5 Elementary Education, 5–8 Middle School with a Specialization in Language Arts, 9–12 English, Teacher of Students with Disabilities, Supervisor, Principal, and School Administrator.

As Superintendent, I remain committed to maintaining the close-knit traditions that make Port Republic special while continuing to move our district forward. This means strengthening curriculum and instruction, using data to make informed decisions, supporting the whole child, embracing meaningful innovation, and providing our students with opportunities that prepare them for an ever-changing world.

Equally important is ensuring that our students feel safe, supported, valued, and connected. Academic success and mental well-being go hand in hand. When students know they belong, have trusted adults supporting them, and are encouraged to challenge themselves, they are better positioned to thrive both inside and outside the classroom.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our two sons. Much of our family time is spent at baseball fields and tournaments or exploring new destinations together. These experiences continually remind me of the importance of family, community, teamwork, and creating meaningful memories.

As we continue this journey together, I am grateful for the partnership of our students, families, educators, Board of Education, and Port Republic community. I look forward to continuing to build upon our successes, embracing opportunities for growth, and ensuring that every student who walks through our doors is prepared to confidently take their next step.

I am proud to be part of the Port Republic family and excited for all that lies ahead for our students and our school community.
